Saturday Morning: Gangnam Awakening (9 AM – 1 PM)

9:00 AM: Start at COEX Mall when it opens. The underground complex is massive, but your target is SMTOWN@coexartium. Explore the museum, shop at the store, and grab SM artist merchandise. The Starfield Library inside COEX creates Instagram-worthy photos with its towering bookshelves.

11:30 AM: Walk to K-Star Road (15 minutes). See the celebrity bear statues and luxury shops. Continue to Apgujeong Rodeo Street for the full Gangnam fashion experience.

1:00 PM: Lunch in Cheongdam-dong. Try a trendy cafe or restaurant where idols actually eat. The area offers everything from Korean food to international cuisines.

2:30 PM: Subway to Yongsan for HYBE headquarters. The building is magnificent from outside. Visit nearby HYBE INSIGHT museum (book tickets in advance!). Spend 2-3 hours fully immersing yourself in BTS and HYBE artist content.

5:00 PM: Walk to Laundry Pizza for early dinner. This BTS album photoshoot location serves actually good pizza in a uniquely Korean setting.

Saturday Evening: Han River Sunset (6 PM – 9 PM)

6:30 PM: Subway to Banpo Hangang Park. Arrive before sunset to claim a good spot. Grab snacks from a convenience store (very Korean experience – eating convenience store food by the river).

7:00 PM: Watch sunset over the Han River. If it’s fountain season (April-October), catch the Rainbow Fountain show. The illuminated bridge and city lights create magical photo opportunities.

Sunday Morning: Cultural K-Pop (9 AM – 1 PM)

9:00 AM: Arrive at Gyeongbokgung Palace right when it opens to avoid crowds. This is where BTS performed “IDOL” – visit Geunjeongjeon Hall for those iconic shots. Explore the palace grounds, understanding the cultural heritage that K-Pop incorporates.

11:00 AM: Walk to Bukchon Hanok Village (15 minutes). The traditional Korean houses create beautiful photos. Many idols have filmed here. Be respectful – people actually live in these hanok.

12:30 PM: Lunch at Gwangjang Market. Try bindaetteok, mayak gimbap, and other foods you’ve seen idols eat in variety shows.

Sunday Afternoon: Youth Culture (2 PM – 7 PM)

2:00 PM: Subway to Hongdae. Explore the streets, check out LINE FRIENDS and Kakao Friends stores. Visit AK& Hongdae for Weverse Shop if you need official merchandise.

4:00 PM: Cafe hop through Yeonnam-dong (adjacent to Hongdae). This artistic neighborhood offers quieter, more unique cafes than Hongdae’s busy main streets.

6:00 PM: Return to Hongdae for street performances. Find a good viewing spot and watch dance crews perform K-Pop covers. The energy is incredible and completely free.

Evening Options

Depending on your energy level, consider ending at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) for night photography, or head to Myeongdong for last-minute shopping and street food. Both stay open late and offer different vibes.

Important Tips

Transportation: Get a T-money card immediately. Seoul’s subway is efficient, cheap, and connects everything. Most destinations are 20-40 minutes apart.

Booking: HYBE INSIGHT requires advance booking (book as soon as you plan your trip). Music show recordings need applications about a week in advance.

Pacing: This itinerary includes rest time at cafes and transportation breaks. Don’t feel pressured to do everything – missing one location beats exhausting yourself.

Weather: Check forecasts and adjust. Rainy days? Focus on indoor locations like COEX and museums. Beautiful weather? Prioritize outdoor parks and palaces.
